Every match uses a KAATA code. Joiners request access, and the host approves them.
Choose the right fight format.
Kaata supports real rooftop patang bazi: quick solo tallies, open terrace scoring, proper head-to-head duels, two-team matches, and Ticket/Parcha play. Pick the format your group already plays, then Kaata keeps the score clean.
Open Match for casual all-vs-all scoring, Head-to-Head for fair duels, Solo Tally for personal cut counts, Team Match for two sides, and Ticket/Parcha for net-lead play.
Every flyer fights for their own score.
Use Individual when players are competing as themselves. Pick Open, Head-to-Head, or Solo Tally while creating the match.
Best for
Casual free-for-all rooftops, clean 1v1 duels, or a personal Uttarayan-style cut count.
How it wins
Individual winners depend on mode: target cuts, pair wins, or no winner for Solo Tally.
Rules
- Open: anyone can cut anyone. First player to the target cuts wins.
- Head-to-Head: pairs play in sequence. Standings use pair wins, then total cuts as tiebreaker.
- Solo Tally: no opponent and no winner. Yeh bas aapka personal pench counter hai.
- Draws can be recorded when both patangs go down together.
Individual score flow
Host checklist
- Everyone joins by KAATA code and host approval.
- Solo Tally can start with only the host.
- Other individual modes need at least two players before start.
Two sides, captains, toss, and a final team score.
Use Team Match for the classic side-vs-side rooftop format. Players can join by code, or you can add guest players for people without the app.
Best for
Ground sessions with groups, captain-led sides, and a fixed number of penches.
How it wins
The team with the higher score after the target penches wins. Ties go to sudden death.
Rules
- Create can start with empty teams, but Start Match requires each side to have 1 player and a captain.
- The toss is recorded before play, then every clean cut gives the cutter's team 1 point.
- Draws count as a played pench but do not give either team a point.
- After the target penches, the higher score wins. If tied, play continues as sudden death.
Team score flow
Host checklist
- Guest players are optional. Add them only when someone is not using the app.
- Hosters can move players and change captains from the Players tab.
- Players can be removed before or after scoring. Score history stays stable.
Momentum moves between teams with every cut.
Ticket Match is a parcha format. Pick a lead target for auto-finish, or Free Parcha when the group wants to keep playing until the host ends it.
Best for
Fast rounds, dramatic comebacks, 1v1 parcha battles, or team sessions where lead matters more than total cuts.
How it wins
The first team to reach the selected lead target wins.
Rules
- Pick a target from 2 to 50, or choose Free Parcha for no target.
- A clean cut moves 1 parcha from loser team to cutter team.
- Draws and disputed or voided penches do not move parchas.
- In Free Parcha, the host ends manually; the side currently ahead wins, and a tie has no winner.
- Start rules are the same as Team Match: each side needs 1 player and a captain.
Ticket / Parcha score flow
Host checklist
- Works for one-player teams or larger sides.
- The live scoreboard shows who is leading and how many more cuts are needed, or marks the match as Free Parcha.
- Past parchas stay with the team that recorded them, even if a player is moved later.
